Law Clerk Tiba Fatli, a recent graduate of Northeastern University School of Law (NUSL), uses her outstanding legal research and writing skills to support the Firm’s clients. During her time in law school, Tiba worked as a student attorney and a researcher for NUSL’s Prisoners’ Rights Clinic, and she participated as a lawyering fellow in the Legal Skills in Social Context program, in collaboration with the Center for Appellate Litigation. Through her work with the ACLU Southern California Jails Team, Tiba gained invaluable experience advocating for incarcerated individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. She also interned for a federal court judge in the District of Massachusetts and contributed to federal impact litigation cases on civil and constitutional rights at the Center for Constitutional Rights.
Prior to law school, Tiba worked with various international and national organizations, advocating for refugees and immigration rights. At the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, she focused on ensuring the implementation of international refugee law and statelessness law in Egypt, Iraq, and the United States. She also contributed to these efforts through her work with the International Refugee Assistance Project.
