Our client suffered from a severe medical condition that required extensive treatment. The treatment prevented him from performing his job duties, and he applied for disability retirement. After waiting a year-and-a-half, he received a notice that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management denied his application. He retained our firm to submit a request for reconsideration. We argued that OPM made inaccurate statements and used faulty reasoning. Only four months later, OPM issued a decision on our request. OPM agreed with our arguments, rescinded its initial determination, and approved our client for disability retirement benefits.
