VA rescinded proposed removal, reinstated clinical privileges

A physician who worked for the U.S. Dpeartment of Veterans Affairs (VA) retained us to respond to a proposed removal based on alleged poor performance and failure to satisfactorily complete a mandatory licensing exam. We worked with our client to submit a written defense and participated in her oral presentation, pointing out procedural defects in the way the exam was conducted and presenting mitigating circumstances. The Deciding Official rescinded the proposal to revoke our client’s privileges and remove her. Our client was fully restored to her clinical privileges and position.
